Liverpool versus Manchester City:Preview and Predictions

2016-17 Premier League enters the 19^th Week of the season, and the big match of the week is Liverpool versus Manchester City at the famous Anfield Stadium on the Saturday Night. The Game is must win game for Liverpool and Manchester City as any slip ups will put them further behind the League leaders Chelsea.

Good News for Pep Guardiola’s side is the return of their talismanic striker Sergio Aguero after serving his  5 game ban for his horrendous tackle on David Luiz during the game against Chelsea. With  Manchester City picking  form just at the right time with three wins in trot with big one against Arsenal two weeks ago,Pep Guardiola’s Team will be looking for another big scalp just before New Year’s Eve.

Liverpool on the other hand has been the free scoring team so far in the season. With 45 goals so far, Jurgen Klopp’s men is considered as the most entertaining team so far. But their shaky defence and also the form of both goal keeper has put some suspicions on their title charge. Liverpool’s main strength is the form of Adam Lallana and Sadio Mane along with Brazilian  Firminho, Jurgen Klopp will be expecting for them to trouble the shaky Manchester City Defence

For Manchester City (4-2-3-1)

Claudio Bravo will start as goal keeper despite only keeping 3 clean sheets so far in the season. John Stones will start as centre back with Otamendi as his partner. Alexander Kolarov and Bacary Sagna will start as Right Backs. The midfield will comprise of Fernandinho and Yaya Toure in Central Midfield role and with KDB and Sterling as at left and right wings respectively and David Silva as number 10 role. Sergio Aguero will start as the striker for this game.

For Liverpool(4-1-3-2)

Mignolet should start as goal keeper .With Lovren and Klavan as centre backs. James Milner who has done exceptionally  well  in his role as Left Back will keep his place along with Clyne as right back. Jordan Henderson will keep his role at Central Midfield along with Emre Can. Sadio Mane, Adam Lallana and Firminho start in Midfield. Daniel Sturridge should start as striker.

Predictions:

As both sides are slightly weak in their defence and have similar style of play ,we expect a full flowing game right from the kick off. I expect Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool to edge out Manchester City by 3-2.
