Leicester City in deep trouble to Avoid Relegation

After losing to Swansea City on Sunday, Leicester City find themselves  just one places above the drop zone and tantalising close of being relegated as defending champions which  happened just once when Manchester City got relegated in 1937-38 season .

The biggest concern for Claudio Ranieri’s men is they have manage to get just one point this year and are in 5 match losing streak. Most importantly they have not scored a single goal this year which is unbelievable for the team which have the likes of Vardy, Slimani , Musa and Mahrez in the team and have let in 12 goals in these five games. Their team who had leader in Wes Morgan, Robert Huth , Danny Drinkwater completely lacked confidence and have been off colour.

Another concern for the Foxes is the fellow strugglers Hull City & Swansea City who after change of manager have shown immense improvement and are looking to stay up. In fact Paul Clement has took Swansea City who were dead & buried when Bob Bradley left to 15^th Place. Hull City, currently 18^th in the table ,have shown improvement under Marco Silva. Hull City have held Manchester United , defeated Liverpool & took Arsenal to their limits at Emirates which could be positive when they play bottom clubs towards the end. Sunderland and Crystal Palace despite struggling can turn things around.

Another problem that Leicester have is their Champions League Round of 16 match against Spanish team Sevilla FC comes under such crucial time .  Sevilla who are 3^rd in La Liga table and have much European experience than Leicester City, could be too  hot to handle for the foxes especially at form and confidence they are in. It would be better if Leicester goes out and don’t think much about the defeats.

Just 13 games remaining in the season and  likes of Liverpool. Manchester City, Arsenal and Spurs to follow along with Hull, Sunderland and Crystal Palace , things won’t  be easy for the Foxes. It will  be  important for Leicester to take one game at a time. Just like Ranieri said before the Swansea game This season has just started for them .It is matter of just one win or may be one Jamie Vardy goal  that can bring their confidence back and then stay up next season. They were even in deeper hole two season ago and dramatically survived relegation. If Leicester ever needs Jamie Vardy and Riyad  Mahrez , it is in these 13 games.
